Ngamen Hub Promo Website

Web Design
Project Overview
Starting from the DigiSocial Fest event held by Telkom Indonesia, Ngamen Hub is one of the innovations to provide jobs to musicians and freelance buskers through gigs from coffee shop owners, event organizers, etc.Initially, I was contacted by a friend of mine, who and his group are the team behind NgamenHub, to develop a website for their application.

Gathering Data

I did research and asked questions about this application to my friends and their groups (my clients), so it was known that Ngamen Hub is a mobile-based application, still in the form of a prototype of a high fidelity design, because currently, it is still in the selection stage of the top 10 in * DigiSocial Fest, one of the requirements is to have their own website, which will also be used for their "startup".

Challenge

Make a suitable design

because the mobile design is ready, then how to make this website design later to reflect the UI and Branding DNA of the NgamenHub mobile application design, so that users easily recognize that this website is indeed a website from the NgamenHub mobile application

User Interface Exploration

First UI Exploration

This is the result of my first UI exploration using Figma, from the various moodboards I have chosen and also some of my clients, who want their style to be kept clean.

First UI Design Exploration Result
Quick Test & Iteration

After being tested through a prototype by my client team, there were several styles that were deemed unsuitable. In the NgamenHub application, it is more likely to use a box design with rounded sides, so some components need to be changed.

Then look at this website which is just a place for info from apps on mobile, so there is still not too much content loaded in it, so to make it look solid, the space on the left and right of the website is increased again

Final Design Result

What have I learn from this project

I made a lot of mistakes in the design process, I didn't make an initial sketch as a first step to facilitate the creation of a user flow which can later be discussed with the client to understand between my thoughts and the client about the flow and features on this website later. And also not proceed with making a wireframe first, which can explore the layout model which can later be discussed with the developer whether it can be made or not.

Then there is no Usability Test for users who are outside the production team, so there is no feedback coming in whether the user captures all the info on the website clearly, can follow the flow from the beginning to the bottom, and so on.
